Hello Lovely,
I am so happy to write to you.
As I am writing this, it is raining heavily.I just had dinner and I’m now chilling washing it up with a glass of wine.
I had planned to watch something on Youtube and later Publish my new Podcast Episode. But the rain cannot allow me.
So I wondered;
What fun thing can I do tonight?
Why don’t I study the wine that I am currently drinking?
Good idea indeed.
I love wine and most importantly I love to study wine and share the knowledge with you,Because Wine Culture is cool and everybody loves wine.
I was just telling a friend that I currently do not drink a bottle twice because there are way too many options which I think is amazing.

A client called me and asked me to prepare a Birthday gift, and he was sure his wife doesn’t really love flowers so I suggested a bottle of Wine and some Chocolates.
I like helping people pick the right gift and so I made sure that I picked a bottle that had character.
I made my way to ShopRite Westgate and that is where I met,
CAPE DREAMS 2017 PINOTAGE
Say hello to my readers,
After 15 minute search,I settled on it because I liked the physical appearance of the bottle,I was immediately attracted by it and the fact that it was a 14% V I was sold.
I got one for my client and one for myself too.

Deep Colour,Fully Flavored,Great Character and Woodiness.
What is Pinotage?
Pinotage is a Red Wine Grape.
That was first grown in South Africa in 1925,and is since their Signature variety
It is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault.
Cinsault was known as ”Hermitage” at that time.

Scientific name is
“Vitis vinifera”
‘Pinotage’
This attempt by Professor Abraham Izak Perold was to combine the best qualities of the harvest of Hermitage with Pinot Noir.
Pinot Noir produces the best wines but can be hard to grow.
Pinotage is also grown in Brazil,Canada,Israel,New Zealand,United States and Zimbambwe.
IS PINOTAGE A FULLY BODIED WINE?
The first sip of Cape Dream and I could tell that it is a fully bodied wine.
Pinotage if Full and fruity.
The rich and complex flavors tasted amazing I couldn’t help but sip some more.
I love this Wine because of how interesting every sip got.
I have taken my sweet time and enjoyed the great character indeed.

Always keep a bottle of wine in the fridge for special occasions. You know, like Wednesday.

I could also tell it has some Tannins because of the need to drink water.
Tannins tend to dehydrate thats is why drinking water is important.
WHAT ABOUT FOOD PAIRINGS?
On Saturday I cleaned and made lunch early because I couldn’t wait To taste the Cape Dreams Pinotage.
I cooked some Pasta and Beef Sauce.
Just before the Pasta was ready, I burst the wine cock open and the aromas were fascinating.
The soft meet brought out the sweet notes of the wine and inherent smokiness which I really loved.
I enjoyed my meal while listening to jazz and felt really fancy.
That was the idea I had in mind.
Any beef, slow -cooked sausages or lamb go well.
Cape Dreams.
This is my First wine from this brand and I was curious to know more about them.
It is from Robertson Wine of South AFrica ,the region is known as the Valley of Wines located along the Breede River and the Langeberg Mountain Range.

The area has unique micro-climatic conditions.
Visit the Cape Dreams Website to Learn more about them.
This was a very good bottle.
I totally recommend.
The wine is easy to drink and the rich taste will leave you amazed.
I bought the above bottle from SHOPERITE Westgate at a good price ( Under Ksh.1000)
Visit the store for a wide variety of wines.
The rain is till pouring and sounds about right pouring myself another glass of wine.

I hope you enjoyed the Wine study and see you next time on wine talk where we will discuss a New Grape.
Which bottle do you currently dig and think I should try?
